Massage by Appointment

Massage is an integral part of holistic care, both for humans and pets.

It has been proven to reduce pain and muscle tension, which are common in older pets and breeds prone to hip and back problems, as well as very active dogs.

Relieving muscle tension not only feels good in the moment, it can prevent long-term injuries from arising.

We are thrilled to be joining forces with Marta of All Paws Massage, who is certified in providing massage for small animals. She will be taking clients in our new practitioner's room every Wednesday from 4-6pm for 30 minute sessions of bliss.

She will also be hosting monthly Workshops!

You can learn more about Marta's experience and services on her website. Please see below a list of the three types of massage she offers:

Each massage session is tailored to your dog's specific needs; we work together through tension, restriction, pain and stiffness to maintain or improve mobility and to bring a sense of ease and relaxation that will in turn boost the immune system, improve breathing patterns and restore energy flows.

Each session typically includes Swedish massage techniques, range of motion, stretching, acupressure and essential oils. Ideal for seniors, active dogs, dogs recovering from injuries (requires veterinary clearance).

Is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to alleviate pain and restore motion. Ideal for senior pets or dogs recovering from injury.

Reiki is a Japanese form of gentle and non-invasive energy work, based on the premise that energetic imbalances are the root cause of physical dysfunction. This healing energy is channeled through the practitioner's hands to assist with self-healing, releasing energy blocks, easing pain and discomfort. Ideal for senior, anxious or fearful dogs.
